Justice Ministers’ Conference

On the 1st of January 2014, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern took over the Chair of the regional Ministry of Justice Conference.

The Conference of state justice ministers is to coordinate and to finetune the legal policies of individual states. This is a permanent body with presidency rotating on an annual basis. Though the decisions met at the Justice Ministers’ Conference meetings do not become binding law, they can provide important incentives for the development of legal policies in Germany and in Europe.
